Manager Customer Relationship Management & Sales, Business Development / Mumbai, India
Brief description
As Manager Customer Relationship Management & Sales, Business Development (m/f/d), building and expanding customer relationships is your top priority. You will market our complex logistics services, which we develop for our international customers. In our Mumbai office, you will be part of an established team of project logistics professionals who focus primarily on developing and closing new business opportunities.
- Contact/visit listed target customers on regular basis for shipment inquiries. Identify new customers through market sources and other business focused social media platforms etc, contact/visit the customers, analyse and set a new potential target customer for further follow up for business development.
- Develop business strategy based on financial gain, from known and new customers.
- Promote Conceptum Logistics’ services according to clients’ requirements and objectives. (Air, Ocean,Transport services.)
- Meet and develop strong relationship with Shipping Carriers and other vendors.
- Identify potential project customers through other business focused social media platforms social networking and all other available sources.
- Collection of payments from customer on time.
- Retention of customer through regular visits and strong relationship.
- Procure competitive buying rates and develop strong relationship with Shipping Carriers and other vendors. (Jointly with Pricing and Ops Team).
- Build long-term relationships with existing and new customers.
- Achieve agreed targets and budgets on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis.
- Preparation of Tenders for submission to Public Sector Companies and other multi-national companies.
- Other functions related to the business development of Conceptum Logistics in the states covering Western Indian market.
- high integrity and proven credentials in the Freight market in Mumbai and Western India
- Thorough and detailed understanding of the Forwarding business
- 4 to 6 years of sales experience in international logistics
- Excellent knowledge of shipping documentation, Bills of Lading, AirWay Bills, Invoices, survey processes, insurance processes, etc
- Experience in working with CRM systems
- Proven track record of over-achieving quota
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to effectively plan and organize appointments and meet reporting deadlines
- Excellent networking skills
- Fluent in business English, further local languages an advantage
